Advice for getting started
Various people, from my mother to my partners, have called my blockchain smart city crazy. It is a big risk because something like this has never been done before. We're coming up with huge life-changing innovations, including a new way of creating, saving, and trading energy in which everyone contributes. If we're successful and this spreads throughout the world, then this will be amazing.
Here's the path I took:
High School
Bachelor's Degree
California State University, Northridge
Doctorate
Law
Whittier Law School
Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
I grew up in a relatively normal middle-class family and was expected to go to college to become a lawyer, doctor, or engineer.
2.
I graduated from college and went straight into law school to get my law degree.
3.
After graduating from law school, I started my own practice with a primary focus of advising and consulting with companies on business challenges and corporate growth.
4.
I worked as a plaintiff lawyer for many years, helping consumers fight against large corporations.
5.
When I reached a point in my life where I could retire, my daughter had asked me how I’d changed the world—that helped light a fire in me to keep working and try to make a difference.
6.
That period of reflection—also compounded with having witnessed such destruction in class action lawsuits against banks—caused me to close my law practice and discover Blockchains.
7.
I plan to eventually build a smart city using blockchain technology.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I closed my law practice and opened my own business dealing with blockchain technology. It may be a huge risk, but I believe this is the future and I want to have a hand in that impact.
