Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
First, I was a peer counselor in high school helping teens talk about issues.
2.
Then I added a minor in Education to my major and began writing lesson plans and student teaching.
3.
Then I started working as a history teacher at a private school (stayed 6 years).
4.
Then I started graduate school with an emphasis in technology implementation.
5.
I started thinking about leaving the classroom, looked around, and ended up at Roadtrip!

You should be a lawyer.
How I responded:
While I had the skills to be a lawyer, my heart would never be in it. Think about where your heart is, what you could spend hours doing and why you feel that way. I couldn't explain exactly why I didn't want to be a lawyer, but I could explain why I enjoyed working with young people and educators.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I had to pay for graduate school with loans, and work to support myself during my undergraduate. While I have school loan debt, it was worth it because I am honestly proud of the work I do and it makes me feel fulfilled.
