My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Major in Pre dental and realized I hated chemistry so I changed to advertising.
2.
Moved to San Francisco and started selling main frame computers when Apple was first starting.
3.
Took a transfer to Southern California and took a job at ad agency marketing movies on DVDS.
4.
Changed to selling ads for W magazine and Conde Nast for 15 years.
5.
Wrote a book "The 7 Most Powerful Selling secrets" and became a motivational/sales speaker.
6.
Went out on my own to be a sales coach /funding strategist to help start ups get funding.

You are leaving a corporate job with benefits to go out on your own. Do you know how hard it will be? Do you know how long it will take to make any decent money? What if you use up all your savings?
How I responded:
Live your own life- this is not a dress rehearsal. Think of yourself as an investment and a stock you would buy.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Being a gay man in business can be hard especially if you are in the closet. Find a boss who accepts you for who you are and you will thrive.
