My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
At 16 years old, after a week of not having a place to live, my mom and I found an apartment in Florida. The landlord knew the manager at the Taco Bell down the road and helped me get an interview.
2.
I aced the interview! I was so scared to start my first day but on November 7th I clocked in for my very first time at my favorite restaurant.
3.
At 17 I became a Team Trainer and by 18 I passed the ServSafe manager exam and became ServSafe certified which started my training to become a manager.
4.
After getting married in 2005, my husband and I moved to Houston, Texas. I had to leave my Taco Bell of five years to start out in a whole new market.
5.
The new store was not so welcoming at first but my new area coach worked with me to develop my management skills and led me through training to become as Assistant General Manager.

How I responded:
Do what you enjoy, bottom line, it's about what makes YOU happy. I love being around people, whether it's working with them or serving them their favorite meal of the day, I enjoy making somebody else's day better just by being myself! There are so many different opportunities within Taco Bell and if you love being around people, you can make a career out of it!
