Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
Immigrated to the United States at age 12 knowing no English.
2.
My parents were migrant workers so we moved constantly as I was growing up.
3.
I went to more than 15 different schools during my elementary, middle school, and high school years.
4.
I started a full-time job with a finance company before finishing college.
5.
I got promoted to a branch manager and moved to a new city. Lost my job and had to go on welfare.
6.
I got a job as an insurance agent. Got promoted to Agent manager. Offered a job to come back home with better pay.
7.
The economy crashed, so I went back to school to finish one semester of undergraduate. Got a part-time job with the current organization as I was going to school and selling insurance.
8.
Went back to school to get a Masters in Public Administration and I have been promoted several time with my current organization to my latest promotion to Director of Development.
